Game Boy

Donated by Robert Gair

Anyone who knows Robert, a member of North Edinburgh Art’s  café staff, will know that he is a font of knowledge for digital gaming, in fact it would be fair to say that for Robert gaming is not just a hobby it’s a way of life!  For the People’s Museum of Memory and Myth Robert helped us source this early Gameboy console and 007 game.

Launched by Nintendo in 1989 (before Robert’s time) it survived production for 25 years and in its various forms would become the entry point of portable gaming for many and the start of a lifelong love of gaming for some including Robert!
