Look a pigeon in the eye and say thank you!Walking to Greggs to buy my lunch one day I see a man standing staring at a pigeon perched on the roof above the bookies. He notices me looking at him inquisitively, “don’t you know that pigeons are lucky and can bring you money?” he asks. A regular gambler, he tells me that he always likes to catch a pigeon’s eye and say thank you before he places a bet. “Do you win?” I ask him. “Not often enough but not every pigeon is lucky, I wish I could see the really handsome pigeon I said thanks to last summer, he brought me a £300 win but I’ve never seen him again. He was the golden pigeon for sure!”
I hope this golden pigeon brings its share of good luck to those who look him in the eye and say thanks.
