Painted Birdhouse

This birdhouse, along with the Knitted bird house in the collection was part of Arcadeum’s 2017 ROOST project which saw 200 birdhouses individually decorated by local residents, artists and organisations across North Edinburgh.  This one was the work of James Cairns, a local painter who has been making art for over five decades.

With this birdhouse James achieved two milestones, he became the projects most senior participant and at the ROOST charity auction this birdhouse achieved the highest price!
