Dominoes

‘These dominoes were used at my local pensioners club for years and years.  When the club stopped running a few years ago I saved the dominoes and a few other bits and pieces in the hope that we would start up again. Sadly that never happened and many of the original members have passed away.  There’s something very relaxing about playing dominoes, it’s a sociable game that anyone of any age can enjoy.  I believe it was invented in China maybe a thousand years ago and was brought to Europe by the Italians.  I always liked the feel of these particular dominoes, they feel quite precious but I imagine they are just made from plastic.  I always liked getting the doubles, I like the symmetry of them.’
