This lollipop crossing sign was used by various lollipop men and women at Pirniehall Primary and St David’s Primary Schools from the 1990’s and into the new millennium.

It was used by Lollipop man Harry Barr from 2000 and helped Harry to become a finalist in the Evening News School crossing Awards in 2007.  Harry who had previously had a career in Scots Porridge Oats, said;

'I like meeting the kids, they're always quite nice to me and I never get bother from them. When you get to 75 you have to apply for an extension to work for another year and my birthday is in December so I've already got my extension to keep working next year'.
